What is Your Supply to the Body of Christ?

Equipped for the Master’s Use

Equip: Supply with the necessary items for a particular purpose. Prepare someone mentally for a particular task.

God has equipped or supplied us with the necessary power (ability) to do a specific assignment for Him. Once we discover our purpose, He prepares us with His Word, the wisdom of His Spirit, and training and coaching from spiritual leadership.

Everyone has a supply that they give to the Body of Christ and to the world.

Ephesians 4:6 (New Living Translation)He makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love.

Romans 12:4-5Just as each of us has one body with many members, and not all members have the same function, so in Christ, we who are many are one body, and each member belongs to one another.

1 Corinthians 12:7Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good.

Verse 8To one there is given through the Spirit...

Notice it says "TO ONE", not many—just ONE. And when you keep reading the next verses, it uses the same terminology: "TO ONE."

1 Corinthians 12:18But in fact, God has placed the parts in the body, every one of them, just as He wanted them to be.

1 Corinthians 12:27-28Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it. And God has placed in the church...

God created the Body of Christ, and we all have our part and supply. We are not all supposed to be doing the same assignment. If so, then there is no body!

If everyone who preaches thinks they are a church planter or a pastor, then where is the body? There is no such thing as a body of people all doing the same thing!

God places spiritual gifts and ministry offices in the church. This is not something you do on your own.

I'm reminded of a great revival that hit America in the early '90s. It was a powerful move of God. I attended it, and it was the real deal. Many people from around the nation and world attended that revival, and it totally transformed their lives. Many were born again, set ablaze, and went on to do amazing things for the Kingdom of God.

Long story short, the revival ended up dwindling—not because God was finished, but because many of the key players were finished.

The main evangelist, who was a true evangelist, decided to go start a church in another city. One of the teachers in the revival, who was a genuine teacher and a professor, started a church. The musician, who was an obvious musician, left to START A CHURCH!

And many of the other key players took their new popularity and went on to launch churches that God did not tell them to start. They all stepped out of their true calling to do what’s popular in America—which is to plant and pastor a church and hope it becomes a MEGA church.

The church growth era has messed up many people in the Body of Christ. Once again folks:

IF EVERYONE WANTS TO START AND PASTOR A CHURCH, WHERE IS THE BODY?

That strong revival dwindled because the key players were deceived into jumping out of their grace to step into a lane God didn’t call them to.

And results don’t mean God told you to do it. Just because people showed up at their non-ordained churches doesn’t mean God told them to do it. People are ignorant. They are just following with no discernment.
