Before you can truly become an expert, coach others, and sell your wisdom, you must first know who you are. This isn’t about experience first—it’s about identity. Who did God create you to be?
The mistake many people make is simply copying what they see others doing—the latest trends, the popular strategies. And if it’s not that, they allow painful life experiences to dictate their calling. But that’s not how God works. Your purpose wasn’t formed in response to life’s highs and lows—it was established before you were even born. Long before you faced any experience—good or bad—God had already planned your assignment, your future, your destiny.
Your job is to discover it. Align your life, values, actions, and language with what God has already spoken. If you don’t, you’ll live aimlessly, chasing one thing after another, trying to make something work. But success isn’t about trying everything—it’s about becoming the expert of YOU.
What did God call you to do? Because you won’t find that answer in the latest social media ads. You don’t need a funnel, a brand, or a business strategy until you first discover God’s strategy for your life. God is specific. He didn’t copy the influencers, entrepreneurs, or preachers you see online when He designed your calling. He had a plan for you before you even took your first breath.
The reason many people struggle to discover their purpose is that they’re overwhelmed by the noise—too much input, too many voices, too much distraction. They mistake trends for divine direction. They receive false prophecies from people with limited understanding. They convince themselves that something is "God’s will" when in reality, it’s just an idea shaped by what they saw, heard, or experienced.
Let me be real with you:
Coaching on Zoom may not be for you.
Becoming a TikTok or YouTube influencer may not be for you.
Hosting a women’s conference may not be for you.
Running a digital marketing agency may not be for you.
Writing books, producing music, preaching, or even pastoring may not be for you.
These are all popular right now. And too many people assume that because they like something—or even feel jealous of someone else’s success—that God must be calling them to do it too.
But you don’t get your calling from trends. You don’t get it from culture, society, TV, or social media. You get it directly from God.
The truth is, entire industries are oversaturated with people who are simply out of place. The music industry is full of artists who were never anointed to write songs or sing. The church is filled with people who called themselves into ministry, but they were never meant to preach, teach, pastor, or plant churches. It’s gotten out of hand, and no one is saying anything.
Copying trends—whether in the secular world or the church—has become an epidemic. And it’s creating chaos.
It’s time to pause. Step back. Seek God’s wisdom.
I challenge you, to pull away from the noise and spend serious time with God. Ask Him what He really created you to do. Not what culture suggests. Not what society expects. Not what looks successful. But what God has actually spoken over your life.
Because when you clear out the distractions and step out of the system, you’ll finally be able to hear Him clearly.
I pray that by the time you finish this book, you’ll have a clear, undeniable understanding of how to discover and fulfill your true purpose—not according to trends, emotions, or personal experiences, but according to God’s divine instruction.
